Growing local biodiversity
SEQ Natives is a small native plant nursery based in Worongary on the Gold Coast, specialising in plants indigenous to South East Queensland.
Our mission is to help people create gardens that support local biodiversity by bringing back the plants that naturally belong in our region.
How SEQ Natives began
SEQ Natives began with the restoration of our own property in Worongary on the Gold Coast.
As I started removing invasive weeds and allowing the native vegetation to recover, I became fascinated by the plants naturally regenerating across the property.
That experience completely changed the way I viewed gardens. I realised that even small spaces could contribute to the recovery of local biodiversity.
SEQ Natives grew from that experience and my desire to help more people discover and grow plants indigenous to their local area.

I love exploring local bushland, learning plant identification and finding ways to restore biodiversity at home.
